Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - October 2016

Hello Friends!

 Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Since it is Saturday and an OFFICIAL card making day I hope you will all get to spend some time in your crafty place making some fun cards to celebrate!
And since it is also October 1st and a brand new month it is also time for a brand new Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge!  So welcome to the October Inspiration Challenge with Paper Sweeties!

I had so much fun with these lovely Autumn colors.  Here is the "Cocoa" themed card that I created:

I used several stamp and die sets to create my card.  The lovely mason jar was created with the Mason Jar stamps and dies.  I used the banner die and stamps from this set to make my "yummy treats" labels to tie around the lid.  The word "cocoa" is from the "But First Coffee" stamp set and was used to create my label for my mason jar full of cocoa.

The cups of hot cocoa were created with the teacup stamp and die from the "Eat Cake" sets. I used some small square foam pieces to create marshmallows inside the cups.

The "Warm Winter Wishes" sentiment is from the stamp set of the same name.  A wonderful card to send for a variety of occasions during the cooler months....when they finally arrive.  We are still having sunny weather in the 70's here in Seattle though we have had two nice rain showers over the past month that were much needed!  I cannot wait for some cooler weather!  I am soooo ready this year!

Here are links to the rest of the Paper Sweeties teamies sharing cards today:

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello Coffee Lovers!  I am here on behalf of Paper Sweeties with a card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2016!

Paper Sweeties has donated a $25 Gift Certificate for a SHOPPING SPREE to one lucky Coffee Lovers’ Fall Blog Hop participant … will it be YOU???  We hope you will link up a project to the hop so you have a chance to win! Info on when the prize drawings will take place can be found on the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop site!

The sweet coffee mug on my card along with the stamped steam image is from the "But First Coffee" stamp set.   I stamped the mug on some sweet striped paper and then die cut it with the coordinating sweet cuts die.  The "I 'heart' coffee" sentiment was made by combining sentiments from two different stamp sets. The "I Love You" stamp set and the "But First Coffee" stamp set. A very sweet and simple card that can be used for a variety of occasions.

Thanks for taking a peek at my card!  I hope you are enjoying all of the wonderful coffee projects that are part of this fabulous blog hop each quarter!  It is so fun to see all of the GORGEOUS inspiration!

2 cards for the Serendipity Stamps Challenge #59: Leave it Bare!

Hello Friends,
I had some free minutes to play and dug into some of my lovely Serendipity Rubber Stamps!  I found inspiration by looking at all of the lovely cards over on the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. And decided to play along with their current challenge:

SSCB#59 Leave It Bare - Let your detailed stamp take center stage. No room for covering up this time - we want you to leave the stamped image bare! No markers, no pencils - nothing - nada! Our red rubber stamps make gorgeous detailed impressions - just ink and stamp! Just be sure to include at least one Serendipity Stamps image (stamp or die) on your design!

I used the lovely "Christmas Chapel" stamp for my cards.  I love the look of this church covered in the snowy beauty of a Christmas Morning!  I had a wonderful "Winter Wonderland" sentiment sticker given to me for free from Serendipity and decided to use it on my red card below:
I used a snowflake die from Heartfelt Creations to create a snowflake shaped window in my card base which I had already embossed with a snowflake embossing folder.  I edged the aperture in white charcoal pencil and then added glitter glue and fine glitter to it.    I then layered a piece of music vellum into the window and placed the stamped image behind it gluing both pieces to the front of the card base.
A sweet holly sticker to dot the "i" in Winter and some black and white twine complete this sweet card.

Then I decided to make a more CAS style card in earth-tones using Kraft cardstock and Mercury Glass Stickles around the snowflake aperture.
The sentiment I wanted to use was too big for the outside of this card so I just placed a sentiment on the inside only:

I love this sentiment "Let Heaven and Nature Sing"!  A favorite of mine!

Thanks for taking a look at my cards!  It is always fun to play with my Serendipity Stamps!  I need to add some more small sized sentiments to my stash I think!  I sure love the detailed beauty of their gorgeous images!
Crafty Hugs!
