Plucky Momo dot com

Hello fellow Project Life crafters,
I just wanted to share a great site by a lovely woman named Emilie called: http://www.pluckymomo.com/

She is doing Project Life and also giving out some free digital journaling card files that can be printed and used in your weekly/monthly projects.  I love the first few weeks cards so go take a look around her site!  I found her via a blog hop for the new "Dear Lizzy" line by the lovely Elizabeth Kartchner...may i just say ruffled sewn paper....pretty ice cream colors and all things neopolitan which does my little ol Italian heart good!  Fun!!!  Enjoy both of these lovelies!

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 11 - Snowflakes

Hello Crafty friends,
I have been away from my blog for a while as I have been very busy taking care of my family but last weekend I had some time to make a sweet card using some of Cheery Lynn Designs' snowflake dies.  I included these gorgeous (!!!!!) snowflake die cuts on my card so that I would be eligible to participate in the Cheery Lynn Designs weekly challenge: HERE .

The dies I utilized on my card are a couple of the baby snowflakes from the same die shown on my blog in a previous challenge HERE; the snowflake #7 die; the heart to heart doily die; and the "Anastasia" border die.  You can find these dies, and a ton of other beautiful dies including some just released on January 15th at the Cheery Lynn Designs website:  HERE  My personal favorite from their new release is called "Sophia's Heart".  Here is a picture from their website:
Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!!!  I pinned this inspiring design to my pinterest account as soon as I saw it!!!!

If you look at this close up shot of my card you can see that I zig-zag stitched two pieces of card stock together for the background of this card.  This is the first time that I have sewed on a card with a machine!  I usually hand-stitch any type of sewing on my cards but my husband gave me a sew-mini machine from Janome ($39.99 on sale!) for Christmas and I finally had a chance to try it out!  My first attempt was a disaster but the second thing I sewed were these two scrap pieces of card stock left over from other projects made during the Christmas card rush.  This was the jump-off point for this card!

The baby heart die cuts are from a Martha Stewart craft punch and Papertrey Ink.  I am not sure who the beautiful sentiment stamp is made by but it is one of my favorites!   I think the beautiful snowflake #7 die just makes this card!  So pretty!

That is it for me tonight. Just as an aside we have over 6 inches of snow in Seattle which is a  very rare thing indeed!  My little one and I snuck out the back door the other night and even made some snow angels!  What fun!  One of winter's gifts to all of us!

Thanks for taking a look at my card!  Let me know what you think of it in the comments if you have time!  : )  Thanks!  And Happy Crafting!

Snowflake Kisses!!!!
