A sunny card on a cloudy day...

It is a cloudy day here in Seattle-land and it may even rain, again!  I know for some of you stuck in the heat and droughts in other locations this would be heaven-sent!  But here in Seattle we are lucky if we get 4 weeks of real sunny summer days (usually in August, each year).  While it doesn't bother me most of the time the summer season is when it sort of does!  So I thought I would make a sunny feeling card today to use for a friend's birthday that is coming up.

Thanks for taking a look! Rainy or Sunny, Hot or Cold - Enjoy your day!  Each one is such a gift and a blessing!

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

from inspiration to reality

Hello!  We are just home from Day Camp and I am taking a quick moment to upload a card I made last night for today's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  I loved the inspiration photo and was inspired by the soft water colors, the floral patterns and the countryside in the background.  I started several cards last night but this is the only one I have finished so far.  I hope I get to upload more before the deadline tonight - we shall see!

You can find all the information about the Papertrey July Blog Hop on Nichole Heady's blog:  Here

Here is the card I created.  It is a collage type card I guess.  I just played and had fun while making it!
Thanks for taking a look!

Here is my card for this weeks MFTStamps sketch challenge.  You can find the information for this challenge:  HERE.

This week's sketch looks like this:

Here is my card:

I made this card for a dear friend of mine that has been so sweet and supportive over the past 2 years while my husband was ill with brain cancer.  Now I just need to make about 50 more to thank all of the amazing people that have helped our family through my husband's illness and passing.   My son and I are so blessed because we are surrounded by love, prayers, and amazing support.  I also appreciate all of the friendships and cyber hugs and prayers of support that we have received on line.  You are all such wonderful people!  Creating is such a balm to my soul and to hear your sweet comments and support means so much!  So thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Happy Crafting!

A couple of "Happy Birthday" Cards

Hi all,
I made a couple of birthday cards today using some Papertrey Ink stamp sets.  Here are some pics:
The cupcake stamp is from the set "Baby Button Bits" at Papertrey Ink.  I paper pieced the frosting on both cards using papers from We R Memory Keepers and Pink Paislee.

The border on this card is from Cheery Lynn Designs.  The die is named "Border Carnivale".  It is one of my favorite border dies.  The hearts are made from an epiphany crafts punch.  The button is from My Mind's Eye.

The borders on this card are from an EK Success punch and an MFT die.  The teal ribbon is from Michael's Recollections collection and comes with adhesive already on it - quite lovely for quick adhesion.  The corner punch is a new one from Fiskers and makes those lovely hole punches which are the perfect size for bling.  The background ATC cards in the gingham check are from a shop called:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/iralamijashop. Here is the listing for the specific item:

Thanks for looking at my cards!  I would love to hear what you think of them!
