Hello Friends,
Here for another week of creativity and inspiration at The Shabby Tea Room.
This week Linda is our creative host and she has chosen the theme of 'Baby Shower Party' along with this beautiful photo for inspiration!
Linda asks that you create a BABY card or project inspired by the the photo!
The Shabby Girls are pleased to welcome our sponsor - Creations by AR!

I chose to work with Creations by AR's lovely template called "Baby Onesies Box and Card Set". Here are some additional pictures of my project:
I first made a boy onesie and a girl onesie. I love the little ducklings on the tummy area of the toile pattern of the boy outfit. And you know how I love my gingham! So pink gingham and lace seemed perfect for the girl outfit with some rose cabochons.
Here is the girl outfit with the coordinating favor box. I used a Paper Sweeties stamp set called "Occasions" for the "Hello Baby" sentiment.
Here is a picture of the back of the little onsie favor box - I think this is my favortie part of my projects for this week....a sweet little pair of velvet angel wings with a twine bow and some pretty pink lace!
Another view of the boy onesie:

And one last thing before I go. Seattle received some snow, our first of the winter this past weekend. To say that my son was overjoyed is a VAST UNDERSTATEMENT! I think he did a happy dance for over 10 minutes and I am sure that neighbors 5 blocks away could hear him! LOL! I know that many of you are suffering through bitter cold and bad weather over many weeks of this winter season. Here in Seattle we are getting concerned for a drought as we have had unseasonably dry weather here. Normally it just rains every single day - not this winter. Anyway...I thought I would share a couple of photos of my little one enjoying the snow:
Sledding down the hill by our house:
Rolling a giant snowball to add to the fort they were building:
So blissfully happy about that snowman - I was so thrilled I caught this moment on film!:
I got some wonderful shots of all of the neighbors enjoying the day! We were outside from 9:00AM until almost 1:00PM playing as it was melting fast! It was almost completely gone the next day!
Thanks for looking! :)
Crafty Hugs,
Jill
How absolutely adorable Jill, those little onesies are the sweetest things! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Jill. Love those onesies. Is that a die you have? Love them. And of course you know I love the wings. What a beautiful touch.
ReplyDeleteYour sweet baby boy was really having a blast. Don't I wish we could have just some cold weather here in Sunny Florida. Our temperature is about 80. Yuck. Please send me some of the cold.
Have a great week. Ana
I agree. Absolutely adorable. That is a word I seldom use but it is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI survived one day of shoveling. 5 hours worth. Day 2 begins in another half hour.
That snow looks so fun and I am betting those people from back East are wishing that theirs was gone in one day! Just had to stop in and tell you how much I LOVE your baby cards. They are my absolutely favorite kinds of cards to make...love trying to think up ideas with onesie shaped cards. Yours are so GOOD!!! Beautiful, elegant and something any well dressed baby would love to be wearing!
ReplyDeleteGet out of here with your stinking adorable baby cards.....the heart negative on the collar ...amazing! Love that adorable details you added to each one how unique they are.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you had some snow ...I think I heard Tim squeal with joy. Awe the pictures are adorable.
Hope you were ok Saturday. We went to a baptism but when I saw my mom that's went we both broke down, just for a min. Bet the snow was a nice blessing .
ReplyDeleteJILL!!!!! These are precious my sweet friend. I am quite smitten with the gingham onsie, the cute collar and ruffly lace at the leg openings puts this one over the top for me. FUN snowy pictures, love the last one of Tim!!

ReplyDeleteYour onesies are just darling! Love how different each one is. All the fun trims and buttons etc. The last picture warmed my heart, as he just looked so happy and content. (I have so much snow here and it isn't melting, I think I need to find my inner child to "enjoy" it again!)

ReplyDeleteHi Jill, I love the adorable onesies that you have created, especially the pink one with the wings on the back! I wish it would snow just one day here where I live in Southern California, so I can make a snowman! Cute pictures of your son playing in the snow!

ReplyDeleteJIll, what a joy to see your son enjoying the snow and playing so happily! I must say, here we have an abundance of snow (6+months!) and it seems as though we all take it for granted! Nice to be reminded of how precious nature's wonders are! Just wanted to also say that I looooove your beautiful onsie cards! How adorable and sweet! They warm my heart so much :) And I absolutely love the new look of your blog! It is just gorgeous and as sweet and darling as you! Big hugs xoxo Ivana p.s. We didn't spend much time at home this year for Christmas, so no traditional baking...But next year we're hoping to host the festivities and I have a few baking ideas up my sleeve! We might even try making pizzelle's! :)

What an eye catching party favor ideas! Pastel shades are my favorite and look lovely in all such occasions. My sister's bridal shower is also on cards. Quite confused about the celebration theme and booking of San Francisco venues accordingly. Will have to rush faster for the arrangements to avoud festive and wedding season rush.
