Welcome to the July Inspiration Challenge for Paper Sweeties! The theme this month is "Red, White & Blue"! And as always there is a lovely $20.00 Gift Certificate and a Guest Designer spot available to the winner of the challenge. We would love to see you participate!
Here is my take on these patriotic inspiration colors:
I used the sweet Emma paper doll and dressed her for the 4th of July using the outfit from "Life is a Picnic" and the flip flops from "At the Beach". I used a white gel pen to add the star to the front of her top.
A red and white gingham panel forms the background for the card with a navy blue embossed star panel to add texture. The sentiment panel is from the "Beautiful" stamp set as is the "Celebrate" sentiment. Some "Apple Pie" red, white & blue twine was used for the bows in her hair and to embellish the card. Some marshmallow sequins finish the card nicely.
There is a lot more to see today so I will send you on your way.....
I want to give a special welcome to our July Guest Designer: Lin Brandyberry! It is so wonderful to have her joining the hop this month! Welcome Lin!
Also the July Kit of the Month is now for sale at Paper Sweeties! Here is a picture of the kit:
Such sweet cards aren't they! And so fun to have the designs thought out for you so you can just have fun assembling them and giving them away. A fun crafty project for a summertime day!
Thanks for visiting me here at Greenwood Girl Cards! I hope all of our U.S.A. friends enjoy the coming Independence Day Celebration on the 4th of July! And I hope EVERYONE is having a very lovely Summer! Enjoy!
